Training in marketing
Teaching others keeps us sharp. Keen to share knowledge and learn from others, Kath Dewar has created three marketing short courses, offered through the University of Auckland:

1. Marketing for Sustainable Business - 1 day course The demand for more socially and environmentally responsible products and services is growing fast, but the rules for marketing green promises are strict in NZ. Many businesses break them by mistake. In this one-day course, you will learn how best to communicate with this large and growing market and ensure you comply with NZ advertising law in this area. You will become better equipped to manage the risks and opportunities of this major trend. And explore the inherent tensions of marketing in a world that needs less 'stuff'. Designed for marketing professionals, managers interested in targeting buyers concerned about sustainability and sustainable business leaders. “I was excited and amazed by the quality of the course. Kath does the basics really well but also challenges and stimulates you with real-world examples. You get all the detail you need in the workbook, and you get to evolve your own marketing ideas with people who share the same values. It’s a very smart course.” Stephen McKernon, Supplejack See the course outline or email kath@goodsense.co.nz to find out more

3. Making the most of digital marketing - 2 day course Rapidly changing technology presents a vast new array of marketing opportunities. We need to understand who is on-line and why. We need to look at next-generation websites as places 'to do things' and keep up with these developments. This interactive two-day course will examine social networking sites, blogs, wikis, forums, user-generated content and other Web2 opportunities. You will explore the challenges and opportunities of the internet as a community forum. You will look at banners, boxes, pop-ups and how to find your target audience online and bring them to your website. On completion of the course you will have the confidence and knowledge to select, plan and manage up-to-date digital marketing activities. Two days: Wednesday 23 and 30 May 2012, 8.30am - 4.30pm Book online or find out more |
