Introducing GoodSense marketing consultant, Jo Patterson

Jo Patterson has succeeded in senior sales development and marketing roles in New Zealand and overseas. She brings a wealth of expertise in developing channel partnerships and securing sales. As a successful business development expert, Jo has also worked as a business coach and trainer on New Zealand Trade and Enterprise programmes helping businesses develop and deliver domestic and international sales, with a particular focus on the IT and technology sector.

Prior to joining the Good Sense team, Jo held senior roles at WHK Gosling Chapman and The Icehouse, having previously managed Marketing Communications for the NZ Marketing Association.

At WHK Gosling Chapman, Jo advised a broad range of businesses on successful growth strategies. She created business partnership with The Designers Institute of New Zealand (DINZ) and developed a marketing channel through the New Zealand Institute of Architects, securing new contracts for NZ$100,000 worth of business planning and facilitation services. For The Icehouse, Jo managed strategic partnerships with BNZ, NZTE, University of Otago, Employers and Manufacturers Association, NZ Business Magazine and various Professional Associations.

As a self-employed publisher and publishers’ agent, Jo generated substantial six-figure annual media sales for publishers based in NZ and Australia.

Jo holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Auckland. She has recently completed University of Auckland short courses in Advanced Strategic Management and Strategic Marketing of High Technology and is currently Deputy Chair of the Northern Region Committee of the New Zealand Marketing Association.
